The Bulgarian company Agropolychim, a leading producer of nitrogen, phosphorus and combined fertilizers, has implemented a modern automated FFS (Form, Fill & Seal) packaging line for 25-kg fertilizer bags, marking a major step in upgrading the company’s production and logistics capabilities.
The investment improves packaging quality, ensures product stability during long-distance transport, and strengthens Agropolychim’s presence in international markets, including Greece, Cyprus, Albania, and Serbia.
The new FFS (Form, Fill & Seal) system, delivered by Tallpack Bulgaria, includes a COMPACTA EASY – BL-Bagline packaging machine, an LF 800 – BL-Bagline automatic palletizer with a bag dispenser, and a Power Flex T1 – Lachenmeier stretch-hood machine. The technology forms, fills, and seals bags using UV-resistant tubular film and vacuum air extraction, ensuring complete protection against moisture, contamination, and mechanical impact. As a result, the finished product remains stable over long transport distances and retains its characteristics regardless of climatic conditions.

A significant transformation of Agropolychim logistics
The new Agropolychim’s FFS packaging line is a significant step towards logistical transformation. The technical parameters of the new line include a capacity of 11–13 t/h, total installed power of 81 kW, and compressed air consumption of 98 Nm³/h — specifications that support reliable and consistent performance under high production loads.
Automated palletizing arranges the bags into 1,200-kg units and applies a protective outer hood. This ensures that the finished load is easy to handle in storage and distribution facilities while providing predictability and safety during transport and warehousing.
“The new line represents a significant transformation in how we prepare and move our products. Automation reduces the risk of human error, accelerates processes, and allows us to operate far more efficiently. It is a modern and well-calibrated solution that brings a clear advantage to our logistics,” said Vladimir Teoharev, Logistics Director.
Expanded portofolio and market flexibility
“The 25-kg format allows us to offer a product that aligns with the preferences of regional markets and has long been an established standard in Western Europe. This investment gives our distributors a practical tool to reach segments that are difficult to serve with big bags, while farmers gain greater choice and convenience,” commented Georgi Borissov, the company’s Commercial Director.
The first products to be offered in the 25-kg format include Ammonium Nitrate (AN), Triple Superphosphate (TSP), NP 20:20 + 13S, and NPK 15:15:15 + 10S. This expands the existing portfolio and enables more flexible market presence in segments where participation has so far been limited.
With the new FFS technology, Agropolychim delivers a product that is more convenient for farmers and fully aligned with current European requirements and market trends.
