Comau has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Automha, an Italian company specializing in automation solutions for warehousing and intralogistics. Automha is currently owned by Trasma. The completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to be finalized in the second quarter of 2025.
Under the terms of the agreement, Comau will acquire full ownership of Automha, positioning itself to seize new opportunities in the fast-growing logistics automation market and advancing its goal of building a forward-looking Italian hub for industrial automation capable of competing globally.
To maintain operational continuity, Automha will preserve its existing organizational structure, leadership, and strategic direction, with a continued focus on people, quality, and innovation.
“This move allows us to fully tap into the strong potential of the warehousing and intralogistics sector, while leveraging our combined expertise to drive innovation and expand across diverse industrial markets”, said Pietro Gorlier, CEO of Comau.
Franco Togni will remain CEO, while Gianni Togni and Roberta Togni will retain their current responsibilities and join Comau’s Executive Committee to support the joint development of both businesses.
This acquisition aligns with Comau’s strategic direction following recent changes to its ownership structure, with a majority stake now held by One Equity Partners, a global private equity firm. This change has enabled Comau to operate independently. By acquiring Automha, Comau reinforces its Italian roots and operational base, while simultaneously expanding its international reach and strengthening its global offering.
